Surf

The Parker Surf Team competes in the Scholastic Surf Series (SSS), which is governed by the Western Surfing Association (WSA). The SSS is a professionally managed and operated platform for high school surf team competitions from San Diego to Santa Barbara. Parker competes in Division 5 and surfs in 5 division contests between October and April each year. Contests are held on a Sunday at local San Diego county beaches and are optional for surf team participants. In late April, the SSS State Championship Contest is held, and all divisions compete together from San Diego to Santa Barbara.

Location: Pacific or Mission Beach

Time: 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Days: Tuesdays, Thursdays

Cost: $65 SSS Membership Fee

Requirements: Surfboard, wetsuit, some surf experience, pass an ocean swim test.
